The Clap
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is hosting its first launch event of the year later today, & is expected to announce a few new products.
What’s coming out?
While not official, analysts & the media expect an updated low-cost iPhone, a new iPad Air, new MacBooks, & a release date for its next big iOS update.
Why this matters
Generally, Apple’s spring launch events are less important than their fall counterparts, when they usually reveal new iPhone models (they’re more profitable).
Apple’s current “low-cost” iPhone, the iPhone SE, received high demand globally. Analysts are wondering whether the company will even lower that price point, which would help them capture an additional market share versus low-cost Android phones.
