The Clap Private Equity (PE) giant “Thoma Bravo” has expressed interest in bidding for Twitter, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The deets No offer has yet been made, & details of the size of the potential offer are still unclear. This news was out shortly after Elon Musk announced he offered to buy Twitter for $43 billion. However, Twitter has adopted a “poison pill” plan, which would be effective over any potential hostile takeover.
In related news Thoma Bravo has been making big moves lately. The PE firm recently acquired software company Anaplan for $10.7 billion, & more recently acquired SailPoint for almost $7 billion.
