McDonald’s reported better-than-expected revenue & earnings despite its exit from Russia.
McDonald’s outperformance can be attributed to higher prices in the U.S. & strong international sales growth. The fast-food company reported earnings per share (EPS) of $2.28 vs. an expected $2.17.
Effects of the Russia-Ukraine war
McDonald’s did not go unscathed by the war. In fact, its EPS could have been $0.13 higher if it weren’t for the effects of the war.
