The deets
The new shipment includes 240 thousand tons from Romania, 175 thousand tons from Russia and 50 thousand tons from Bulgaria.
It’s the largest shipment to Egypt since the start of the war in Ukraine, and is the second shipment to be purchased under the tender system.
Egypt paid $480 /ton, 41% higher than the last wheat tender before the war in Ukraine.

India had agreed to ship 61.5k tons of wheat to Egypt, excluding it from the ban.
