The Clap
Manager of Ghazl El-Mahalla’s IPO “Prime Holding” (PRMH) has received requests from two clubs to prepare them for listing on the EGX, according to Prime CEO Mohamed Maher.
The Deets
Maher attributed the receipt of these requests to the success of Ghazl El-Mahalla’s offering.
According to Maher, the two clubs in question are owned by local companies. If an agreement is reached with either company, the football activity would be spun-off into its own company.
Why this matters
Seven out of eighteen clubs in the Egyptian Premier League are owned by companies: Pharco, Enppi, Ceramica Cleopatra, Eastern Company, National Bank of Egypt, “Misr Al-Mikassa”, & Ghazl El-Mahalla.
