The Clap Space tourism company Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE) announced a deal with a Boeing (NYSE: BA) subsidiary to build two more carrier aircraft.
Carrier aircraft A carrier aircraft can carry an aircraft to a certain altitude, allowing the aircraft to launch from a higher point.
The Deets Virgin Galactic is preparing to ramp up its annual launches. The company’s two current spacecraft can launch a combined 38 times a year, but the carrier aircraft being built allows for some 200/year. However, Virgin’s got a new line of spacecraft coming soon that could launch about once a week.
