The Clap CIB (COMI) recorded a 28% increase in profit to reach EGP 7.76 billion in Q2.
The Deets The net income generated from interest was EGP 13.7 billion, up from EGP 11.69 billion the year before. Time deposits, deposits in a bank that earn interest over a period of time, had also witnessed an increase reaching EGP 428 billion.
The loan portfolio grew by 17%, although the devaluation effects brought down the real growth to 11%. Expenses have gone up by 11%, reaching EGP 3.23 billion.
