The Clap
Fawry (FWRY) has recently made two agreements with the World Bank and the 6th of October City authority.
The Deets
The first agreement with the World Bank is to support small and medium projects led by women. This agreement comes as part of the initiative that Fawry has taken to support women entrepreneurs starting their own businesses particularly in e-commerce.
Fawry will look to provide expertise and advice through a selection of e-commerce experts in a number of areas.
In addition to that, Fawry has also signed an agreement with the 6th of October City authority to provide electronic payments as well as recharging prepaid utility cards.
Why is this important?
These two agreements show the active effort taken by Egypt in order to digitize their economy as well as provide support for their entrepreneurs.
