Why the Jump in Revenues?
The Suez Canal Authority justified the increase in revenues due to growth in the number of oil tankers by 60.2%. The revenue from oil tankers alone reached $153 million.
Natural gas carriers increased by 31% as well, recording their highest revenue of $52 million in July.

On July 29, 2022, the Suez Canal recorded its highest ever revenue in its history at $31.8 million.
