Dr. Mohamed Farid has been selected a by presidential decree as acting president of the FRA for a 1-year term, succeeding Dr. Mohammed Omran as of August 7, 2022.
Mohamed Farid
Mohamed Farid graduated from Helwan University with a degree in business administration.
He has completed 4 master’s degrees from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, University of York, King’s College London, and the University of London, in addition to completing his doctorate from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Mohamed Farid has held a number of positions, most notably:
-Financial economist at the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation
-External consultant at the World Bank
-President of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS)
-President in Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM)
-Board member in The African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA)
-Chairman of the EGX and EGID since 2017
