The Clap
Juhayna (JUFO) increased revenues by 26% to reach EGP 5.2 billion during H1 2022, while profits increased by just 1% to reach EGP 319 million.
The Deets
As per the earnings release, juice and dairy products are among the biggest drivers of revenue growth for the company, with 21% and 34% increases in revenues respectively for H1 2022.
Another driver of revenue growth was the increase in product prices. This shows the recovery of consumers purchasing power, according to the company.
The net profit margin shrunk as a result of the increase in raw materials prices as well as the devaluation of the EGP.
Juhayna’s Strategy
Despite the global supply chain crisis and inflation pressures, the company succeeded in reducing costs and increasing production capacity during H1 2022.
