The company revealed its intention to sign a 25-year agreement with the Uzbekistani government to build a wind power station.
The station’s capacity to produce will be 1,500 megawatts and is expected that the project will begin operation in Q1 2026 and will be one of the world’s biggest wind power stations.
Why this Matters
Acwa Power reported that the station will meet the energy demands of around 1.65 million residential units in addition to reducing around 2.4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
