The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has announced that there have been instances of illegal manipulation in the foreign currency market, which has caused fluctuations in the value of the Egyptian pound.

These manipulations include the transfer of funds abroad in unauthorized ways & the misuse of credit cards abroad.

Such manipulations are often done with the intention of profiting from the black market.
Now what
The Central Bank has stated that individuals who are traveling for the purposes of education or medical treatment will still be able to withdraw funds from their accounts, as long as they provide the necessary documentation to the bank.
