The Clap
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has pushed back the launch of its augmented reality glasses due to technical issues.
What
Despite the delay, Apple still plans on unveiling a mixed-reality headset, which combines AR and VR, in its event in the spring. The headset is expected to cost around $3,000.
So What
The new headset will compete with Meta’s Quest Pro headset, which is priced at $1,500. Given the difference in price, Apple plans on further developing its headset to lower the cost of a follow-up version by 2024-2025.
Now What
Apple will try to manufacture the headset using chips similar to the ones which power iPhones rather than Macbooks, which generally possess higher-end chips.
