The Clap
Ticketmaster, a subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE:LYV) is bracing itself for an influx of traffic for Beyonce’s upcoming “Renaissance World Tour”, her first solo world tour since 2016.
What
The megastar has an enormous fan base and so demand is expected to be very high. All eyes will be on Ticketmaster though, after botching the ticket sales for Taylor Swift’s tour a few months ago. The company plans on using a multistep verification process to ensure more tickets go to actual concertgoers rather than resellers.
So What
All needs to go smoothly for Ticketmaster and `live Nation, as they have been under serious scrutiny lately, with lawmakers paying more attention to the company’s monopoly over the ticket-selling business and some Taylor Swift fans suing the company for anti-competitive conduct.
Now What
Tickets are set to go on sale starting Feb 6.
